Marge: "Homer, is this how you pictured married life?"
Homer: "Yeah, pretty much, except we drove around in a van solving mysteries."

From the page: "The Swedish government has announced plans to clamp down hard on religious education. It will soon become illegal even for private faith schools to teach religious doctrines as if they were true. In an interesting twist on the American experience, prayer will remain legal in schools - after all, it has no truth value. But everything that takes place on the curriculum's time will have to be secular. "Pupils must be protected from every sort of fundamentalism," said the minister for schools, Jan Björklund."
Do Plants Live and Die According A Precise Scale? New Research Says "Yes"

From the page: "In a striking revelation, scientists have discovered that all plants live and die by a precise and simple rule. Scientists have found for the first time that plants can self-regulate their populations to maintain stability and optimize their lives, and that the lengths of their lives are precisely related to their mass. Even more incredible, a single scaling power for lifespan holds true across the entire spectrum of plants, from minute single-celled phototrophs to the massively majestic redwoods."

Rogge rips the wrong guy - Olympics - Yahoo! Sports

From the page: "Jacques Rogge is so bought, so compromised, the president of the IOC doesn't have the courage to criticize China for telling a decade of lies to land itself these Olympic Games.

All the promises made to get these Games" on Tibet, Darfur, pollution, worker safety, freedom of expression, dissident rights" turned out to be phony, perhaps as phony as the Chinese gymnasts birthdates Rogge was way too slow to investigate.

One of the most powerful men in sports turned the world away from his complicity. Instead, he has flexed his muscles by unloading on a powerless sprinter from a small island nation.

Rogge's ripping of Usain Bolt's supposed showboating in two of the most electrifying gold-medal performances of these Games has to be one of the most ill-timed and gutless acts in the modern history of the Olympics."

The IOC, who awarded the Olympics to a country that censored internet access, faked aspects of the opening ceremonies, built walls to hide certain neighborhoods in Beijing, and is now supposedly arresting people who had the temerity to apply for permits to protest, is upset because Usain Bolt didn't appropriately congratulate his opponents? Perhaps someone needs to get a little perspective.
